Fine you were once passionate about God and somehow along the line, you lost that passion; that vacum was then replaced by passion for wordly things. You are definitely not alone in this mess. Countless number of people are in the same position just as you are. You definitely do not like the situation that you are in, you wish you could just return to your first love, but it seems too difficult or impossible to do so because you are probably trying to figure out how deeply you've gone into the mess; you are probably thinking about the reaction of your friends, how you will start all over again, the restitutions you may need to make, what you may loose.
All hope is not lost! you don't need to wear out yourself with all these thoughts because,
(Matthew 11:28-29)28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
God is ever ready with his arms wide open to receive you. All you need to do is come unto him now without delaying.
Realise you cannot help yourself and that he is the only one who can help you.
This is the reason Jesus Christ came to suffer and die in your place, so that you can be free from oppression, worrying, sickness, depression, lack, and every other unpleasant thing you may be going through even death.
keep in mind that the coming of Jesus Christ was to give us life eternal, which I call the greatest gift of all, replicate his love to all around you, especially the less privileged.
